01 - 1 wheel Brie cheese (approximately 8 oz)
02 - 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

03 - 3 tablespoons fig jam
→ Pastry
04 - 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed if frozen
→ Garnish (optional)
05 - 2 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts or pecans
06 - 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
07 - Crackers or sliced baguette, for serving
# How to Make It:
01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Place the puff pastry sheet on the prepared baking sheet and set the Brie wheel in the center.
03 - Spread fig jam evenly over the top of the Brie.
04 - If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts and fresh thyme leaves over the jam.
05 - Fold the pastry up and over the cheese, pleating to fully enclose it, then pinch the seams to seal.
06 - Brush the exterior of the pastry with the beaten egg to achieve a golden, glossy crust.
07 - Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the pastry is puffed and deep golden brown.
08 - Let rest for 10 minutes before transferring to a serving platter; serve with crackers or sliced baguette.
