Strawberry Vanilla Protein Oats (Print Version)

Creamy oats with fresh strawberries, vanilla, protein, and chia seeds for a nutritious start.

# What You'll Need:

→ Oats & Seeds

01 - 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
02 - 2 tablespoons chia seeds

→ Protein & Dairy

03 - 1 cup unsweetened milk (dairy or plant-based)
04 - 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or plant-based yogurt)
05 - 1 scoop (about 1 ounce) vanilla protein powder

→ Fruits

06 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped

→ Sweetener & Flavor

07 - 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
09 - Pinch of salt

# How to Make It:

01 - In a medium mixing bowl or large jar, combine oats, chia seeds, protein powder, and salt.
02 - Add milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla extract. Stir well until fully combined and no lumps remain.
03 - Gently fold in half of the chopped strawberries into the oat mixture.
04 - Divide the mixture equally between two serving jars or containers. Arrange remaining strawberries on top of each portion.
05 - Cover containers and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to allow oats and chia seeds to absorb the liquid and develop proper texture.
06 - In the morning, stir the mixture thoroughly. Add a splash of milk if a thinner consistency is preferred. Serve chilled directly from refrigerator.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • No morning rush means you can actually sit down and eat something good without feeling guilty about grabbing whatever's fastest.
  • The protein keeps you genuinely full until lunch, not just pretending you're satisfied at 10 a.m.
  • Chia seeds add this subtle texture that makes every spoonful feel more substantial than plain oatmeal ever could.
02 -
  • Stirring in the morning isn't optional, it's essential, because the chia seeds settle and create layers that separate overnight.
  • The texture will thicken as it sits, so what seems slightly loose in the jar will be perfect by morning, not watery and sad the next day.
03 -
  • If your protein powder is sweetened, reduce the maple syrup slightly so you don't end up with overly sweet oats that taste more like dessert.
  • The magic ratio is about 1 part oats to 1.5 parts liquid, so if you like thinner oats, you know exactly where to adjust next time.
