Air-Fryer Tornado Potatoes (Print Version)

Crispy spiraled potatoes air-fried for a flavorful, golden snack. Great as a fun side or party favorite.

# What You'll Need:

→ Potatoes

01 - 4 medium russet potatoes, scrubbed

→ Seasoning

02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

→ Optional Toppings

07 - 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
08 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
09 - 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes

# How to Make It:

01 - Insert a long wooden or metal skewer lengthwise through the center of each potato.
02 - Holding the skewer, use a sharp knife to slice the potato in a spiral motion, rotating as you cut from one end to the other. Gently stretch the potato along the skewer to evenly space the spirals.
03 - In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
04 - Brush or rub the seasoning mixture evenly over each spiraled potato, ensuring coverage between the layers.
05 - Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
06 - Place the skewered potatoes in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.
07 - Air-fry for 20–25 minutes, turning halfway through, until the potatoes are golden and crisp.
08 - Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and chili flakes before serving if desired.
